Nice idea! I might try that...I did something like your first effort a few years ago - just linking to various articles and websites. What I discovered was that about a quarter of my group of 25 or so second year medics and vets looked at it in the few weeks before the exams. The rationale was that, at that stage they had learned all the basics and were then looking for additional reading that would get them better marks in their exam essays. Just-in-time teaching! So they may look at it later when they think they really need to?
Good point. "Just in time" is looming large in all my conversations with students this year.
